I had a lovely time - I didn't really know what to expect . . . I hoped it would be hot weather, pleasant walks mainly to archaeological sites, sea and mountain views, with a companionable group of people. It certainly did provide all that.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
"The most inspirational moment" . . ummm. Not sure. There were a number of little explanations that illuminated the things we saw . . for example, the Patara aqueduct worked on syphonic principles, and that after the Romans had discovered how to make water go down a valley then back uphill using this principle, they didn't build any more traditional aqueducts. Or the gravestones in the cemetery for people buried in the 1940s who had been born in the 1300s (ie before Attaturk's calendar reform).  Or the whole Arykanda site.
What did you think of your group leader?
Alison was lovely. The whole group was very supportive, and I'm sure this emerged at least partly because Alison was clearly careful to chat to everybody individually, and to make sure everyone felt included. She was also very helpful and knowledgeable.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Walking poles - and boots - are useful on the downhill bits of walks. Sea kayaking was good fun, but be prepared for blisters and/or aching arm muscles.

I thoroughly enjoyed another Exodus holiday. Our guide Alison was brilliant, having lived and worked in Turkey for 16 years, she had excellent local knowledge and was really informative. I would recomend this holiday and exodus to my friends.

A great holiday, the walking was a bit tame for a moderate trip but very enjoyable.  Hotel was good, Kas is a lovely resort with lots of great restaurants and our tour guide was very good.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
The day spent kayaking was great fun even though we had to be rescued and towed by the rescue boat!!!
What did you think of your group leader?
A good laugh who enjoyed dancing!
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Don't expect lots of walking, we did a steady 10 miles the first day, although the last 4 miles were optional, thereafter the walks were shorter but very enjoyable.  Be prepared to be woken at 5am by the praying from the mosque, you soon get used to it.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Had a really great time. Kas is a lovely place, very traditonal and not too touristy.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
A boat ride to the Islands which was not arranged by Exodus (Perhaps it could be offered as an Option)
What did you think of your group leader?
He was very nice but very inexperienced.  He spoke hardly any english and did not have good communication skills.  He also lacked knowledge about the area.  He tried to be friendly, but did not pull the group together or interact with us although he accompanied us to restaurants for evening meals.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
If you're expecting a serious walking holiday, this is not the one.  The walks were short and not at all challenging.  Dont take any food or drink into the Hotel or it will be confiscated.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Had a great time beautiful place and very enjoyable holiday.   It worked becaused we all got on so well as a group and not because of the Tour Leader

Less walking and overall much less strenuous than on other walking holidays I have been on that were rated 'Moderate', however, I think it was clear from the notes and the reviews that this could be expected. Very impressed by Kas and the locations visited.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
The visit to Arycanda. I was not expecting such a huge well-preserved site and it was a privilege to have it all to ourselves.
What did you think of your group leader?
'Oscar' was well knowledgeable, organised and kept everyone to the pre-arranged schedule without encroaching on anyone's enjoyment. He sorted out a venue for a group dinner on most evenings and always chose restaurants with great food and great value. He was always available to the group, answering questions and sorting any problems. A good leader for this holiday.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

Had trouble with using debit cards at the banks in Kas. Have some alternatives available.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

I loved the Sea Kayaking! mainly beacuse its something I have never done before.

Not sure my Husband would agree as there were two captains in our Kayak!

Kekova was also a very nice place & would go again

What did you think of your group leader?

We had two guides with us Ali was lovely and we also had Urygar ( if I have spelt that correctly) who had given up smoking & alcohol! ( hope you have kept it up)

Like all Exodus guides they were great and extremely patient with us.

Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

None really air conditioning in the hotel was a bonus downside the showers were either cold or hot!

also do NOT put your jacket/cardigan near the cats they peed on mine!

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Although a Moderate rating as previous people have stated it is quite a relaxed walking holiday!

great mix though of beaches, bars, exercise & meeting Turkish familes would recommend

This a very well planed holiday! I had a great time and very much enjoyed the whole of it! However, I think this should be classed as a leisure holiday rather a moderate one as the walking was very far from getting any of the group members tired.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
    I loved the sea kayaking.
What did you think of your group leader?
The leader was extremely friendly and funny and always keen to help or give advise as necessary.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
i would suggest that after the walks, before heading back to the hotel, we spend more time on the beach. Getting back to the hotel at 4 to 5pm is too early and therefore I think another 1 or 2 hours on the beach would be ideal.
