The activies were excellent - exciting and challenging. The tour leader entertained me but most importantly kept me safe; even when I had to be towed on the kayak! And lastly, the people that joined the trip were the best!
What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
I thought that I was a brave person before the trip - I thought that anything I faced could be overcome but when I went paragliding, I realised that it was a lot scarier than I imagined. Running off a cliff at approx 1000ft is not for the faint hearted! I did it though and I am extremely proud of myself.
Other than the people on the trip, the best part of the holiday was canyoning. It challenged every part of my body and will. Jumping into ice cold mountain water from a boulder 7 metres high may not sound that scary but when you are at the top of that boulder and looking down into the canyon, it takes a moment to push yourself to jump.
All in all, the actual trip itself was inspirational to me - going on holiday on your own with complete strangers (who luckily turned into much loved friends), completing activities that you have never tried before - and failing at some of them, can be life changing. I loved every minute of my trip and I can't wait to do another one.
What did you think of your group leader?
Murat was ace! Funny, entertaining and most importantly kept me safe. He joined us for drinks and meals in the evening an really got to know each of us. I wish him the very best with all his new adventurers!
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Bring proper cycling shorts as it can be quite painful when you are on those bikes all day!
Bring very good insect repellent - you will need it!
If you go later on in the year, bring lots of t-shirts that cover your shoulders as being out all day even with sun cream can burn your skin.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I loved it and cant wait to go on another Exodus trip!!

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
The whole trip was a dream. Canyoning was probably the most inspirational and the vision of me in a wetsuit in high summer in Turkey just wont leave my mind!!
A fantastic man. Murat went out of his way to do anything for us. if we had a problem he sorted it and if we didn't he went out of his way to make the trip even more special. His local knowledge added a second dimension to everything. Murat (our leader) and Mustaffa (bus driver) made a fantastic team and both made the trip that bit more memorable.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I would reccommend to everyone. Make sure on your free day you do the Turkish bath it really is a treat!

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
The whole trip was both inspirational and challenging in terms of the people I met and the activities I took part in. Surprisingly the mountain biking day was my favourite. A tough climb through the beautiful mountains followed by an exhilirating 20km downhill and lunch in a local home, it was probably the best food I ate the whole holiday. A fantastic day!
Murat was a fantastic group leader. The activities were all very well organised and he worked very hard to make sure we were all having a good time.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Make sure you are fairly fit. Most of the activities were adaptable but 7hours canyoning was quite hard going.

I would thoroughly recommend Exodus as a company - I was impressed by the pre-departure information and the pick up arrangements made when my flight was delayed. The Lycian activity week was fantastic if you want a bit of adventure.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
My trip was amazing, from the excitment of jumping from a rocky ledge into a pool of blue water metres below, to evenings watching the sun go down with a glass of Raki.
The activites were all fantastic but Canyoning stands out for me. Murat, our leader instilled such confidence that with out exception ,the whole group absailed, zip wired and leapt into deep pools of water from rocks. Many of us were also "lucky" enough to be treated to a lengthy shower under a waterfall by the leaders.
Even the 30 min ascent out of the gorge in full watersuits, in 40 degree heat , was a challenge that was met and made all the more sweet by the watermelon our driver, Mustaffa, had prepared for us.
As an keen sportswoman I was concerned that I may find the activities tame, but every day was spent with what become known as the "Xtreme grin", plastered across my face. In fact aching cheek muscles from laughing were the only injuries sustained during the week.
The gentleness of the turkish people and their hospitality has also left a lasting impression on me. Sitting under trees in a village enjoying freshly prepared Mezze with a turkish family after 2 hours spent going full pelt down a dirt track on a mountain bike was certainly another highlight.
Murat was fantastic and made the holiday for the group.
He took time to explain exactly what was required of us each day, making sure all of us were prepared for each activity. He was very conscientious and made efforts to check each group member was ok. He answered every question no matter how trival with perfect English and to be honest if he can put up with our individual take on humour for 2 hours on a minibus, he deserves a medal.
He was clearly an accomplished climber, and particularly on the canyoning day looked after those who were less confident. He clearly enjoyed every aspect of what seemed a very demanding job, organising us on somedays from 8am to 4am!
And when he hit the dance floor........................
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
The advice on the Exodus info sheet was really useful.
In particular I would make sure you have padded shorts and gloves for the biking, those tracks are bumpy!
Lots of t shirts which dry quickly, including a long sleeve one as the heat is intense on the Kayacking day
Mosquito stuff is a must.
Take lots of photos because you will not want to forget a minute on your return!
Is there anything else you would like to add?
The best holiday I have had, great way to spend a week with your friends and get to know other crazy people.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
After acting like true "mad dogs and Englishmen" by starting our mountain biking trip just as the sun was reaching its zenith, it was fantastic to soak up the view from the summit after a long, long climb. Then it was a 13-mile downhill - quite incredible - with hairpin bends, the odd dog lying in the road, and bewildered looks from the locals. Our "late lunch" was then taken at a rustic farmhouse, seated on low benches under the shade of fig trees and vines. All the food was organic, and produced on the farm. Definitely not a package tour excursion - more an unforgettable glimpse of another way of life.
Maho had limitless energy. He joined us for breakfast, and usually stayed with the group until the wee hours. He was passionate about his country, had the skill to make a diverse group gel effectively, and was able to sense individual's capabilities accurately. Safety issues were always taken seriously without taking the fun and excitement out of the activity.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Apart from bars and restaurants, most shops seem to prefer sterling or US dollars. It was always possible to withdraw local currency from ATMs. I changed sterling to local currency at the airport and got a very poor rate. Next time, I'd keep most of my cash in sterling.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
The holiday exceeded our expectations. The hotels (especially the one at Kas) were excellent, and all the activities were well run. We wanted to stay in Turkey for an extra week (we had arranged to go sailing), and Exodus were able to arrange the return flights for a week later.
