Up until ATM I had never been on a holiday on my own, never been to turkey and never been on a multi activity holiday! It was one of the best decisions I have made.  An absolutely awesome time in so many different ways.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
I would struggle to sum it up in one.  Top moments were doing something different everyday, meeting lots of people on the same wavelength as you and Kas was absolutely beautiful.  I think the greatest moment was canyoning and how friendly the turkish people are.
What did you think of your group leader?
Ali was great fun, always had a smile and what I was really impressed with was how he balanced ensuring the safety of everyone during each activity with the different levels of fitness.  Everyday was fun and he had a wealth of knowledge and skill to go with each activity.  Ali took us to some gorgeous turkish restuarants and great friendly bars.  The impression I got of Ali was that sleeping was overated!!!
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

A more in depth essential kit list would have been useful, I travelled in may and would recommend for this time of year, long sleeves for night.  For activities a waterproof coat generally, ankle boots for canyoning and a waterproof bag if you have one.  You dont need anything too glam to wear for the night and definitely no heels (ladies or blokes).

Is there anything else you would like to add?

This was one of the best holidays i have ever had, if you are thinking about booking, just do it.  I have been back 2 weeks and my head is still on holiday.  Everyday is different, exciting but most importantly a great scream.  I took 4 books to read and came back with 4 books to read.  There is not alot of time to sit about, so if you are an active soul you will have a fantastic time.

    Would I book again?  DEFINITELY!!

A good varied activity holiday which could be vastly improved by a number of small changes to the itinerary.  On the diving day we were divided up into two groups, one for a morning session and one for an afternoon session.  Most people agreed it would have been better to have done it as an entire group and just been out for the whole day with snorkelling and swimming available when not diving.  Plus the Diving itself was disappointing.  Very little to look at.  On the Tubing/Walking/Beach day the walk was a letdown and an afternoon spent at the beach would probably have been preferable.  The Sunken City when Kayaking was not much to look at, and you during the day you don't actually have to paddle very far at all so could be made a bit tougher.  Canyoning and Mountain biking were both very good fun though.  Overall, a good activity week but with a number of small changes it could be much better.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
The Canyoning.  Great fun and a very long and tough day but immensly satisfying at the end.  Was easily the highlight of the trip.  You do get lunch and some snacks provided but some energy bars or chocolate probably wouldn't go amiss either.
What did you think of your group leader?
Disappointed by the group leader.  His heart didn't really seem to be in it, and appeared to be going through the motions for the most part.  Although, considering he has done this trip for, apparently, over ten years it's probably to be expected he is not as excited about the activities as he might once have been.  Still disappointing though.  Also, the restaurant choices he picked out in the evening were often quite dull and perhaps he only chose places where he could eat for free for bringing the group?  A wider selection of restaurants and asking the group where we would like to go would have been appreciated.  Finally his briefings were very dull and long winded. Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Take some decent clothes for going out in the evenings and don't be afraid to investigate Kas and find your own restaurants and drinking holes as well.  Lightweight quick drying vests are useful for Kayaking and Canyoning.  If you are not Padi qualified then you just get one try dive where you are held onto at all times by the instructor.  If you are qualified you get two dives which is much better value.  Tubing is an 'optional' activity but if you don't do it you'll have very little to do for about two hours so factor it into your budget.  Sturdy, but lightweight, shoes are useful for the Canyoning as it would be easy to twist an ankle.  You will also be provided for shoes when doing the Tubing so you don't need to worry about bringing shoes that will get wet for this activity.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-fareast; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;} Overall, it was a good week but hopefully Exodus will make a couple of small changes to the itinerary.  Kas is a nice little town with lots of restaurants and bars so you've got plenty of choices in the evening.  The Hotel is nice, with a decent swimming pool and with a cold, but sufficient, breakfast each morning.  The trip doesn't require a vast amount of fitness on any of the activities; if you are looking for something to really challenge you then you may be disappointed.  It's perfectly suitable for people of all ages and most fitness levels.

This is a great trip to experience the wide range of outdoor activities that Turkey has to offer - and in a place of pretty amazing beauty at that!  Most of the activities are achievable by anyone - if anything, the canyoning I found to be challenging if you are a little out of fitness, but the guides will get you through safely.   Kas is an excellent base as it is far enough away from the airports to avoid the average tourist, and it is a beautiful (if hilly) little town where the locals are truly friendly.  You see a bit of the countryside which varies greatly.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

Canyoning without a doubt!  A good solid physical day with challenges for absolutely everybody if they wish.  I was also surprised by the paragliding - rather than focussing on the town below, I was touched by the peace, and the sensation of hovering closer to the cliffs - a great Imax sensation.  The tubing was heaps of fun, with the mud fight included - it was a great way to get everyone bonding.

I also loved Kas - having travelled to other Brit-dominated tourist towns, it has retained a feeling of self and hasn't so far succumbed to the loud trashy bars at street level.  I took my own time out now and then to explore, which of course everyone has the option (even if they don't take that up) to do, rather than just following the leader all the time, and found some truly beautiful spots for contemplation.  :-)

What did you think of your group leader?

Maho's an old hand at this tour, and that clearly sits behind him as he changes the itinerary to suit the weather and safety conditions, and the way he does his briefings.  I (being Aussie) liked his dry humour and didn't mind the longer descriptions - we're on holidays, what's the rush?   I always applaud the tour leaders who take the effort to show a new herd around week-in, week-out.  As the less fit of the group, I always felt that the leader and the guides were taking attention of my safety, and they seriously deserve a medal for getting me up some of the canyoning rocks!  If you want more information about what's going on, just ask.  I don't always like being herded around, so I found his approach to be sufficiently hands-on without claustrophobic.  If you don't like his choice of restaurant, he doesn't get offended if you go somewhere else and join later at the bar.  :-)

The team was also expanded as required with staff, and they were great at getting us around in comfort and safety (if you know Turkish roads, you understand this completely!).

Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

Definitely take good boots for the canyoning.  Otherwise, as stated elsewhere, just some good quick drying clothes but don't go crazy on the nice stuff for evening.  I really appreciated having the camelbak for the canyoning and riding, and you'll go through quite a bit of water in the hotter weather.   May was surprisingly chilly in the evenings so a long sleeve is good.  If it rains, you just get wet!  You may also wish to take earplugs for the mosque morning call to prayer if you are a light sleeper and not a muslim of course.

Frankly, I think that the moderate tag is justified for the canyoning, but the rest of the activities can be taken at your own pace.  I also had my bike adjusted on the day which made it more comfortable (I already had my saddle and pedals as had done MTK before) but don't expect super bikes so take appropriate clothing/gel seat.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

We had a larger group than normal due to UK long weekend, so I think most of the activities would generally be all done together (the scuba was split for us).  Food for breakfast and lunches is pretty standard for Turkey, so you will have lots of cheese, olives, tomatoes, bread, etc.  If you're picky, take your own food or buy in town.  Kas is pretty laid back for a town in a muslim country, but you will go out into the village areas so be aware of modesty if the situation calls for it.

I found the itinerary was well balanced, although due to weather the rest day after canyoning was deferred in favour of the kayaking day.  The tubing at Saklikent should just be automatically included and not listed as optional - it's a great activity which everyone should do and also includes the famous mud fights!  There are some small expenses for entry fees which I think should be included in the overall price, but this was one tour which we didn't arrange a kitty for at the beginning which would have probably looked after this aspect normally.

This is a fantastic multi adventure holiday which can be challenging at times but highly rewarding. Every day has a different adventure to enjoy along with the new friends you have made in the group.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Paragliding was a first for me this year and my heart was pounding as I was standing on the edje of a mounting waiting for the signal to run. I also really enjoyed the Scuba Diving experience and the Sea Kayaking.
What did you think of your group leader?

Maho is a superb group leader. He gives 100pct to the group and ensures they are briefed about each activity along with any safety issues. He also does his best to ensure the group has a good time in the evenings (if they want to join in).  This was my third Holiday with Maho as my group leader and I  would like to return again soon.

Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Don't hesitate, just book it and enjoy a great holiday experience you will never forget.
Is there anything else you would like to add?

I find the local Turkish people of KAS extremely friendly and welcoming. If you are looking for a nice quiet drink I would recommend the Hideaway bar otherwise if looking for some good music and dance then go to Red Point or Queen. I am seriously thinking of returning again soon which would make this my fourth Lycian activity holiday

This was my first holiday on my own, outside of a few short trips in the uk. I never expected to meet such a great bunch of people or have such a great time!

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

Paragliding was amazing- the adrenaline rush of running off the top of mountain  followed by the peace and quiet of hovering over the rocks and gently descending into Kas. This is possibly the only moment in my entire life when someone ( paragliding tandem guide) has said that I am too quiet!

What did you think of your group leader?

Ali was a really good leader, he took us to some great restaurants and bars in the evenings and during the activites he was helpful and very knowledgable about the area. He doesn't need sleep and will happily party until 6am and then still be at the hotel for 9!

Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

Don't be afraid to go it alone, take good support shoes for the canyoning, ear plugs for the 05:30 call to prayer- don't take too many books- you won't have time to read them!! Heels are an absolute no- no matter how you want to dress on a night out, the hotel is rather up hill from the town!!

Canyoning is a long day- it took us about 8 hours and is pretty constant climbing, swimming, jumping- be prepared!

Is there anything else you would like to add?
Paragliding was the highest priced 'extra'- 210 Turkish Lira, tubing was 45 Lira, dinner about 25-35 Lira per night. The suprise to me was that the ATM machine in Kas gave me a much better exchange rate to the Beureau De Change in England!! Don't be in a hurry to change money before you get there, but make sure you budget for what you'll need- there are lots of great souvenirs available as well.

I went on this same brilliant holiday last year and had such a great time that I just had to go again this year.  This holiday is a must for everyone and hopefully I shall be going again next year.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

The canyoning was one of the best day's of the holiday even though I was a bit anxious at first. I couldn't believe that at my age (54) I was jumping from rocks of various heights into pools of water below. We all got a bit cold at times and found ourselves dancing to the Birdie Song and Oki Koki to keep ourselves warm.  Our guide Maho and the rest of the group were really amazing and I had a brilliant time.

What did you think of your group leader?

I had the same group leader last year, his name is Maho and he truly is an amazing guy. He ensured everyone was properly briefed before and during our activities and always put safety first. He gave us inspiration and a great deal of his time and patience. He had so much energy and enthusiasm and ensured we  enjoyed every minute of every day.

Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

Don't let age be a barrier to enjoying this multi activity holiday. As long as you are reasonably fit and healthy you won't be disappointed in booking this holiday.  At 54 I was the oldest git in the group but had a great time thanks to the wonderful people I met. Don't hesitate, just book it.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I think this holiday is very good value and one that will leave me with some wonderful memories of Turkey, the activities and the people I had the pleasure of being with for that exciting week.  Everyone in the group was sad when the week came to an end, I think a longer holiday of say 2 weeks with perhaps every other day being a rest day would be even better.  Loved the Turkish children who seemed so friendly and welcoming. Nearly fell off my mountain bike when I tried waving back at them on a sharp bend.

A fantastic week in the company of some great people. I couldn't have wished for more (with a few minor niggles)

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

Alway too many to choose (I) Meeting so many great and fantatic people- both fellow travellers and locals too (II)Abseiling down a 50 ft rock face with my heart pounding thinking 'am I nearly there yet!!'  (III) Paragliding over Kas at over 1000 metres above sea level flying like a bird.

What did you think of your group leader?
A really nice bloke with a great sense of humour. The group leaders were phenomenal when we were Canyoning- so reassuring as well!
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Be aware of the call to prayer from Mosques at 05.30 AM. I hadn't realised before I travelled.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Only downside was a heck of a lot of travelling between activities. It would have been nice and much more convenient had we been able to have activities within walking distance of Dalyan/ Kas on a few of the days. Most days involved well over an hour to and from activities.
