A fantastic holiday with a good mix of activites and free time. Living on the boat really added something special to the hoilday!
- What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Trying out all the different activites, some for the first time ever!
Abseiling 45 metres during the canyoning was pretty impressive, as well as Scuba diving for the first time. Mountain biking to the traditional Turkish lunch was also a highlight.
- What did you think of your group leader?
- Our guide was great fun and really friendly and made everyone feel completely safe, even when being lowered off a 45 metre cliff! His balance between being professional and yet having fun was just right.
- Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Living on the boat was a fantastic experience, and definitely helped make the hoilday that little bit extra special. The captain and crew were fantastic, and so was the food! However, don't expect luxury - particularly where the toilets are concerned!
Take insect repellent as there are mosquitos at night time. Also it really is worth buying a cheap disposable underwater camera as a lot of the activites involve water. Finally, be prepared to have lots of fun squeezing youself into a wetsuit on the side of the road!
- Is there anything else you would like to add?
Our only complaint would be that just because we booked as a family, didn't mean that we didn't want a bed each! Our two daughters were only given a single bed between them due to space on the boat. This didn't cause too much of a problem as they were able (and happy) to sleep up on the deck, but we are pointing this out as some other customers are not likely to be as adaptable as we are! Having paid the full price of the holiday each, we do feel that there should have been two beds available, sisters or not!
If you get the chance, the Turkish Baths are well worth a visit on your free day. Our group spent the whole time laughing, and this carried on throughout the evening! Also the optional walk to Patara beach on the free day was worth the money too.
Overall, a great holiday that we would recommend to anyone who is willing to try out some different activities!
