The best of Cuba: revolutionary history, faded colonial charm, lush tropical jungles and vibrant Afro-Cuban culture

Capitolio, Havana, Cuba

Cuba was described by Christopher Columbus as the most beautiful land on earth, and for good reason. There are the famous attractions, such as old Havana, lively Santiago and colonial Trinidad, but we also explore some fascinating less well-known areas. We spend two nights in the Sierra Maestra - steep, jungle covered mountains filled with bird life, from where Castro and Che Guevara co-ordinated the Revolutionary War. Another unexpected highlight is the night in Baracoa, a lively port town where Columbus first landed in Cuba.
