Thanks for posting your feedback onto the site. We apologise for the problems caused by the bad weather at Heathrow which meant that you missed the first day in Havana, and fully accept responsibility for the incorrect itinerary being sent out to the group for your particular departure. Due to problems securing seats on the Iberia flights for your return after New Year, the itinerary was shortened by a day, and the cost of the trip reduced to reflect this amendment. However, when the revised trip notes were written, we failed to spot the fact that although there was a reference to the trip being shorter, the actual day-by-day itinerary was not amended correctly.
Although you mention that we did not do anything about the time in Havana, I personally contacted the local operator to request that the day in Cienfuegos was curtailed so that you could travel to Havana early on the last day in order to spend time in the city. However, as you say, the itinerary had already been amended by Orlando so that you travelled there the day before and spent the night in Havana and were able to see some of its sights. We are very pleased with his foresight in changing this itinerary based on the group's comments, and one of the reasons we use experienced local operators for our trips is that they can listen to the group in situ and make decisions like this, which are not always easy to take from London where we are quite removed from the feeling on the ground.
I do hope though that apart from these itinerary and flight problems you enjoyed your holiday and found Cuba an interesting country to visit - we'd definitely welcome any other feedback you have on the places you visited on the trip.
Again, thanks for taking the time to write a review on the website, and I hope that the problems do not discourage you from booking more trips with exodus.
