All breakfasts and 1 lunch included.
This trip is classified as leisurely/moderate. The focus of the trip is on birds and marine life of Dominica and St. Lucia. We will explore these two Caribbean islands by boat, vehicle and on foot. The hikes are generally not technical, though the jungle trails can be slippery and have protruding roots. Reasonably physical fitness is all that's required.
There will also be opportunities to go snorkelling to explore the islands aquatic wonders, if you do not feel comfortable snorkelling, however, you can chose not to. Weather conditions are generally hot and humid year-round, and there can be heavy, but short, showers, especially between June and November.
Generally this is a trip for those who have an interest in wildlife and nature and who want to see a different side to the West Indies than that normally found in glossy magazines.
Normal group size and age
Min. 4, max. 12 plus local leaders in Dominica and St. Lucia. Minimum age 16.
The vast majority of Exodus adventures are adult group holidays. Groups are always small in size. We strongly believe that this adherence to small groups means a better experience for all; more time with your guide, less waiting around and a reduced impact on the communities and environments visited.
Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with singles, couples and friends all joining in together. All these trips are suitable for single travellers, but if you prefer to travel with clients booking individually, please see our Solo Departures page.
Exodus is always looking to improve our current itineraries and to offer something different. With many new trips this year, there is something unique and different to try every year.
Wildlife: Trips may be wholly wildlife focused, or contain an element of wildlife viewing within a less specific itinerary.
Wilderness: Visit the deserts, jungles, plateaux, tundra and mountains of all seven continents, including Antarctica.
