On this moderately active and varied holiday we see the rich ecosystems and dramatic scenery of Costa Rica by bicycle, river-raft and on foot, as well as enjoying some optional snorkelling or diving off the shores of Panama's beautiful Bocas del Toro archipelago. Highlights include hiking in the cloud forests of Monteverde to discover an amazing world of unique flora and fauna, rafting along the Sarapiqui River accompanied by the calls of howler monkeys, and cycling through rural Costa Rica close to the active Arenal Volcano.

Day 1	Fly to San Jose.
Day 2	To Manuel Antonio N.P.; afternoon guided tour of park to see local flora and fauna.
Day 3	Free day for optional hiking or relaxation on the beach.
Day 4	To Monteverde, an area of highland forest.
Day 5	Guided walk in Santa Elena Reserve with its diverse ecological systems and significant cloud forest.
Day 6	Boat ride to mouth of Rio Chiquito; to Lake Arenal; cycle past Arenal Volcano to La Fortuna.
Day 7	Visit primary and secondary rainforest; opportunity to swim in waterfalls.
Day 8	To Sarapiqui, rich in biodiversity; whitewater rafting on the Sarapiqui River with a chance to swim.
Day 9	To relaxing Puerto Viejo de Limon.
Day 10 - 12	Transfer by boat and road to beautiful Bocas del Toro Islands in Panama for three days of swimming, snorkelling and other optional activities including diving.
Day 13	To charming Cahuita.
Day 14	Morning free to explore the town; to San Jose.
Day 15	Time for last minute sightseeing in San Jose; evening depart.
