Essential Information
Trip Profile
Travel by public and private bus, boat and on foot.
Accommodation
7 nights family-run hotel with swimming pool.
Located 600m from Bomerano village square, this small, family-run hotel provides the warm welcome typical of Southern Italy. All rooms have en suite facilities and the hotel overlooks the Agerola plain, known as the green gateway to the Amalfi Coast. The hotel sources local produce (often from their own garden!) for their excellent cuisine and has installed solar panels for heating. Pizza making demonstrations will also be arranged on one night during your stay!
Food
7 breakfasts and 6 dinners included.
Reality Check
The trip involves travel by public and private bus plus boats and includes guided walks in a number of places.
The walking isn't too strenuous, but you need a good base level of fitness. During the days with walking included, the terrain and type of path will vary from manmade paved tracks, tarmac, forest trails to gravel/cinder paths on Mount Vesuvius. Here there are also steep sections and quite large drops in places.
The final section of the 'Walk of the Gods' descends to Positano down 1700 stone steps, which is possible to avoid by taking a bus. In places the paths are a little exposed and not suitable for severe vertigo sufferers.
Grade: Leisurely
The laidback attitude in the south of Italy not only affects the pace of life but also public services, most notably the bus service. Delays are quite common and some waiting around at bus stops should be expected. Public transport is normally used in order to reduce our carbon footprint.
Normal group size and age
Normally 8 to 18, plus leader. Minimum age 16.
Icons explained
The vast majority of Exodus adventures are adult group holidays. Groups are always small in size. We strongly believe that this adherence to small groups means a better experience for all; more time with your guide, less waiting around and a reduced impact on the communities and environments visited.
Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with singles, couples and friends all joining in together.
All these trips are suitable for single travellers, but if you prefer to travel with clients booking individually, please
see our Solo Departures page.
Designed for people who are in good health, enjoy the outdoors and want a relaxing trip packed with interest.
Relaxed Itinerary: A range of itineraries seeking out intriguing and off the-beaten-path destinations in a little extra comfort!
Culture: Let Exodus show you a different side to many of the world's greatest cultural attractions.
For those clients who wish to travel with a group of other solo/single travellers, on certain trips we have set aside departure dates that are specifically recommended for clients booking individually. Solo departures are aimed at taking away that concern that you may be the only solo traveller when you arrive overseas. Look out for the solo departures (marked with a grey icon's') by checking the notes in the dates and prices table.
However, please note that we inform any couples, or friends travelling together, who enquire about these dates that the trip is recommended for solos, but we do not refuse bookings from non-solo travellers, and we are therefore not able to guarantee that a solo departure will be exclusively made up of solo travellers.
