Reality Check
During the days with walking included, the terrain and type of path track will vary from manmade paved tracks, tarmac, forest trails to gravel/cinder paths on Mount Vesuvius, where there are steep sections and quite large drops in places. The final section of the 'Walk of the Gods' descends to Positano down a series of stone steps. In places the paths are a little exposed and not suitable for severe vertigo sufferers.

The laidback attitude in the south of Italy not only affects the pace of life but also public services, most notably the bus service. Delays are quite common and some waiting around at bus stops should be expected. Public transport is used so we can offer something back to the local community and reduce the increasing problem of air pollution.

ACCOMMODATION - HOTEL LE DUE TORRI: Located 600m from Bomerano village square, this small, family-run hotel provides the warm welcome typical of Southern Italy. All rooms have en suite facilities and the hotel overlooks the Agerola plain, known as the green gateway to the Amalfi Coast. The hotel sources local produce (often from their own garden!) for their excellent cuisine and has installed solar panels for heating. Pizza making demonstrations will also be arranged on one night during your stay!
