Discover the stunning coastline and history of southern Italy

The real beginnings of Southern Italy start in the Campania region, a sought-after place since the Romans named it 'happy land'. From our hotel in the quiet village of Bomerano, we visit the famous sites in the Bay of Naples including the extraordinary classical ruins of Herculaneum, stunning Mt Vesuvius and the fascinating city of Naples.
On the other side of the Sorrento Peninsula we explore Amalfi, one of Europe's most dramatic stretches of coastline. Its towering cliffs and picturesque coves impress all, whether travelling to Capri by boat, walking the wonderful 'Walk of the Gods' to Positano or visiting incredibly romantic Ravello.
What makes this trip responsible?
On this trip we use public transport where possible and the local bakery for packed lunches. We stay in a relatively unknown area of Amalfi so clients are providing income to an area that would usually not benefit from tourism. We stay in the family-run Hotel Le Due Torri and all the hotel food is home made using locally produced and sourced goods. The hotel recently installed solar panels which provide hot water for all rooms all year round. By employing local staff and using local produce, they maintain their commitment to responsible tourism.
