The emphasis will be on providing an in depth insight into this country's fantastic archaeological sites. As well as visiting some of the more famous wonders such as Petra and Jerash, we also venture into areas where few tourists go. The famous Desert Loop consists of a collection of castles and palaces built as recreational retreats in the seventh and eighth centuries. Iraq al Amir is home to one of the very few remaining Greek castles in the area. A great trip for those wishing to know more about this intriguing country.

Itinerary

Day 1	Fly to Amman.
Day 2	Full tour of Amman including Citadel Hill, Archaeological Museum, the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Roman Theatre.
Day 3	To Irbid via castle of Iraq al Amir, Pella and Umm Qais.
Day 4	Morning visit Irbid; to ancient city of Jerash, visit Ajlun castle.
Day 5	Visit the castles of the Desert Loop.
Day 6	Madaba, Mt. Nebo, Umm al Rassas (mosaic highlight), Al Maghtas (baptism site), Dead Sea.
Day 7	To Petra via Wadi al Mujib, Al Karak and Al Shawbak castles.
Day 8 - 9	Two full days to explore Petra.
Day 10	Morning 4WD Wadi Rum tour; desert drive to Aqaba.
Day 11	Free morning to relax or optional snorkelling over the coral reefs of the Red Sea.
Day 12	To Amman. Fly to London.
