Immense sand dunes, stunning coastline, palm-fringed wadis and rugged mountains are a few of the reasons why Oman is widely considered to be the most beautiful of the Gulf States. As well as scenic beauty, this country offers extraordinary hospitality and fascinating culture. After exploring the delights of Muscat, including the Grand Mosque, we head for Wadi Bin Khaled, climaxing with a night camping in the astonishingly beautiful Wahiba Sand. We also explore the ancient fort at Nizwa and take in the breathtaking views from Jebel Shams. The jeeps play an exciting and fundamental role in the trip - none more so than in the thrilling safari over Wahiba's sand dunes, some of which are 60 metres high. The trip ends with some free time in Muscat to explore the souks and sights.

| Day 2 | Visit the Grand Mosque; to coastal town of Sur via Finns Beach; to Ras Al Jinz, the Green Turtle conservation beach. |
| Day 3 | To Wahiba Sands for overnight desert camp; jeep safari on sand dunes. |
| Day 4 | Morning short desert walk; to historic town of Nizwa; sightseeing including Nizwa Fort. |
| Day 5 | To Jibreen castle and the ancient city of Bahla; on to Jebel Shams for spectacular views. |
| Day 6 | Explore the souk; to Nakhl Fort and continue on to old Rustaq; to beachside hotel. |
| Day 7 | Morning free at beach; late afternoon transfer to Muscat via Muttrah souk. |
| Day 8 | City tour of Muscat, afternoon free; depart late evening. |
| Day 9 | Arrive London. |
