Travel by minibus and comfortable, air-conditioned 4WDs on mainly good road with some long drives. Reasonable fitness required.
Accommodation
5 nights hotels, 2 nights camping in permanent huts.

Reality Check
The trip is comfortable and not rushed but there are some relatively long drives that are punctuated with stops at places of interest. Approximately 20% of the travelling is done off road, so you should be prepared for some bumpy drives, although the main roads are very good.
We concentrate on the northern and eastern side of the country- the Bathinah and Dakhilia regions and also around Hajjar and Jabal Akhdar Mountains. Please also take into consideration the weather: although the trips are scheduled outside of Oman's summer, days can still be very hot.
We stay on semi permanent campsites for 2 nights. Whilst here accommodation is in barsati huts on 2 nights. Mattreses are provided but facilities are shared though matresses and fairly roomy tents are provided.
Normal group size and age
Normally 8 to 16, plus leader, local drivers and guides. Minimum age 16.
