What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

Petra is definitely the highlight of this trip, and with two full days there, there is plenty of time to explore its vastness and pure beauty! I can tell you how amazing it is, how mind-blowingly fantastic it is, how you will be seduced by its beauty and wonder...but nothing will prepare you for quite how perfect it actually is. There is so much to see, so much to learn and such an adventure to have there!

What did you think of your group leader?
Our group leader Sami had a fantastic wealth of knowledge about the entirety of Jordan. It was amazing at quite how much information he knows without any prompts or notes! He also kept us entertained with his 'jokes' and funny tales!
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

For all those on their first adventure like I was, remember to take a zip-up fleece and some light long trousers. I took one pair of 3/4 length trousers, and a long cardigan, which were fine, but always a good idea to have a backup pair, and the fleece for walking up at the High Place in Petra, if a little windy!

You do not need to take too much with you in your case! I took about 5 capped sleeve tops and just washed them in the sink of the hotels as I went along...they dry by the morning if you hang them up!

Take a waterproof camera for the boat trip in Aqaba too! I was so glad I did!

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I had the most fantastic time on this trip! I was so happy and excited each day, because the trip gives so much to you! I have to say that I was really looking forward to going, and it actually exceeded my expectations by miles!

It is a brilliant way of seeing a spectacular amount of thing, and learning so very much, on a personal and also informative level! There is so much to see, so much to do, so much to learn and lots of fun to be had along the way! If you are looking for an adventure without the hiking, then this is the trip for you! You will not be disappointed!

I went as a single female in her late 20s. I felt safe at all times. I made some fantastic friends and had one of, if not THE best time of my life.

     Do it!

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
I think seeing the Treasury at Petra for the first time and just taking it all in!  Petra by night is also very beautiful and gives you a different insight.  The climb to the monastery was tough but worth it!
What did you think of your group leader?
Sami was very helpful and he knew a lot about his country especially with the perspective that he had lived outside of it also.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Be prepared for hot days but cold nights and also rain in Amman!
Is there anything else you would like to add?
    Enjoy!

Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

Dont worry about the camping night, mattresses are very comfortable. Blankets looked clean and warm, but I did use my own sleepng bag.

Snorkelling from the Royal Diving club in Aqaba is excellent, in case you dont fancy the optional boat trip.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
    go!

Varied itinerary, mixed activities and so suited me to the ground. We had a large group, but actually you also get plenty of time to do your own thing, so this didn't create a problem. Friendly people and country, that has been affected by all the unrest around it, but is in itself safe and welcoming. The tour had a steady pace, so still felt like a holiday .

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Walking down the Sik in the dark , illuminated only by candles, on our first evening in Petra. So our first experience was unclouded by the knowledge of what we saw in the light the next day.
What did you think of your group leader?
Really experienced, professional, very knowledgeable and friendly, good sense of humour.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

Take a sleeping bag for in the desert, but if it is broght, sleep outside, ear plugs helpful.

Dont expect western standards for hotels, but the ones choosen by exodus are always adequate and suit the 3 star status. we found ours good, some other people on the trip weren't impressed. service good and food reasonable too.

used ATM for money, but had an unsuccessful attempt on the first day. Also plenty of places to change money, so would recommend taking some cash to do this too.

Walking trainers suffice for scrambling round the rocks and paths of petra, if you are a confident/ experineced walker, and actually provide better grip.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
Had a great break in a fascinating country, as with quite  lot of places, the impact on plastic bags is noticeable, and a shame, but other than that...... a great place for a warm week of history, culture, brilliantly preserved ancient sites and good walking. plus the availability of turkish bath in petra!

Interesting in every way. Natural history would make it worth the trip. Add in the masses of history and friendly people and you have a wonderful holiday.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Just how safe it was. The money exchange in Petra had no locks, no security screens, no cameras. The staff had no need for them and were rightly proud of the fact.
What did you think of your group leader?
Khaled was friendly, knowledgeable and informative. His input certainly contributed significantly to the success of the trip.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

    Go!

Be prepared for lots of walking in Petra - but well worth the effort.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
A brilliant holiday. The Group format adds to the experience, with interesting and different people to share with. Jordan may be known for Petra & the Dead Sea, but has so much more to offer. Extra time at the Citadel in Amman, Jerash or Wadi Rum would all have been welcome. We'll just have to go back.

A great and varied week in an interesting country.   Although classified as leisurely/moderate we seemed to be on the go all the time.    Highly recommended

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Petra is an amazing place and definitely needs 2 days to do it justice.
What did you think of your group leader?
Sami is a character,  that's for sure.  He gave us a great insight into life in Jordan,  and was happy to debate and listen to others views.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Do take a sleeping bag with you, and sleep outside at Wadi Rum.   You could leave the sleeping bag on the bus all week if you wanted to free up your luggage a bit.    Do also do the camel ride.   Everyone enjoyed it,  and what a place to ride a camel!
Is there anything else you would like to add?
If you are looking for a week in the sun,  this is an ideal trip,  with a great mixture of activities.   The Syrian situation means that tourism in the middle east is down,  so the Jordanians will be delighted to see you,  and the sites could be unusually quiet.
