Reality Check
This is a small group camping safari were all the duties are performed by our camp staff therefore there is no need to lift a finger. However, please note although all the camp equipment is provided for you it will be fairly basic. The campsites are all wild campsites, so there are no amenities, but the luxury of being all on your own in the bush. We provide a communal toilet tent and shower tent. The shower tent is a bucket shower, where warm (if not always totally hot) water will be provided each evening. There will also be a personal washstand for everybody. On Safari we travel in 4WD landcruisers or landrovers. There is a roof hatch, which greatly enhances game viewing. There will be some long drives but as most of these will be in parks and conservation areas they will allow for constant animal spotting. The flight from the Serengeti to Arusha is in a domestic flight in a small aircraft.
Group size and age
Min. 4, max. 12, and local staff. Minimum age 16.

Smokeless Stoves in Tanzania
We are proud to be in partnership with Plan UK to help fund a project to make smokeless stoves accessible to people in the Geita District of Tanzania. Smokeless stoves not only use less firewood than open fires but also greatly benefit the health of the local people, particularly the women and children. Exodus is donating £21,697 to install 140 smokeless stoves in seven villages and train 70 members of the community to ensure sustainability. With client donations we hope to be able to scale up the project and help even more villages in the future.

The vast majority of Exodus adventures are adult group holidays. Groups are always small in size. We strongly believe that this adherence to small groups means a better experience for all; more time with your guide, less waiting around and a reduced impact on the communities and environments visited.
Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with singles, couples and friends all joining in together.
All these trips are suitable for single travellers, but if you prefer to travel with clients booking individually, please
see our Solo Departures page.
In order to provide a more accurate grading system, where a trip falls between two grades we use an intermediate or split grade, for example Leisurely/Moderate. Occasionally, there are optional activities available en route, in this case the optional grade is indicated in brackets, for example Grade Challenging (climb Tough+). Clearly, conditions may differ from region-to-region or month-to-month and as such the information given on these pages is designed to act as a guide only. In all cases you should refer to the respective holiday's Trip Notes for further details.
