  A great holiday in a country of such variety. Tour guide was excellent and coped even with a heavy cold! Driver kept bus immaculate and was himself so well turned out and polite. Optional day out to oasis, 4 x 4 and Star Wars was really excellent.

  What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

  Staying overnight in the desert and listening to the camel drivers play music. Visit to Star Wars set in desert amazing - and it was at sunset.

  What did you think of your group leader?

  Excellent all round. Great subject knowledge, very professional and good company.

  Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

  Long journeys. December/January fantastic time to travel as no other tourists but can be incredibly cold in the north. need hats, gloves and warm clothes for all days not just desert.

  Is there anything else you would like to add?

  I have used Exodus before and although it can feel pricey when you first cough up for the holiday I think the amount you see and do in such a short time without feeling like you're being rushed is great. Using local tour guides, as long as second langauges are strong and personality right for job, is great.  Balance of couples and singles works well (usually). Will definately consider again and recommend to friends. When do I qualify for my discount???

  From Star Attractions To Star Wars

  What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

  For me the main highlights were, wandering around the impressive ruins at Carthage, pretending to be an intergalactic space hero at the Star Wars set at Matmata and I was also suitably impressed by the vast El Jem amphitheatre.

  Wadia wasan excellent guide, very friendly, informative and funny.

  Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

  Some long drives but this is necessary as the trip covers such a large area in a short time. The sights in themselves more than make up for the time spent on the road. 

  Is there anything else you would like to add?

  Sit back and enjoy the scenery, marvel at the ruins of Carthage, El Jem and Sbeitla. You have to go for a coffee at the oldest cafe in Tunis (Sidi Bou Said).  Relax on the Red Lizard train, feel like a star struck kid at Matmata and get the chance to explore the desert on camelback. A surprisingly varied trip.
