What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

The close encounter with the gorillas was absolutely awesome, obviously no-one told the gorillas to keep 7m from us! What a privilege to have experienced such intimate observation of these fabulous animals.

What did you think of your group leader?
Often is well-organised, knowledgeable, resourceful with a wicked sense of humour. A really nice guy!
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Do not take travellers cheques. Take a holdall small enough to fit in the lockers. Take warm clothing for the very windy journey in the back of the truck.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Visiting 3 countries required changes of currency which was not indicated in the trip notes, which implied that dollars were all that were necessary. Easy enough to do but unexpected. It was unclear from the notes whether we had to pay for another visa when we returned to Nairobi. This meant that we had to put $100 aside just in case. Fortunately we didn't need it after all. The early flight from Kigali to Nairobi made for an extremely long and tiresome day, despite food being provided by the airline. People who booked late were able to take a later flight and make full use of the hotel facilities in Kigali, which seemed unfair to the rest of the party.
