There are local trackers in the park that protect the gorillas all day, so you will definitely see them. The trackers will advise the guides by radio as to their wherabouts, so there shouldn't be any problems.

The food is excellent. For breakfast, lots of fruit, cereals and toast. Salad, sandwiches and more fruit for lunch and a hot cooked dinner every evening. There is a complete variety of meals, from western fare to rice based dishes. Vegetarians are well catered for, just let us know before you travel!

Walking boots with ankle support are best when trekking. Flip flops or any comfortable, airy footwear are fine for the rest of the time.

Yes, all the tents have a mosquito proof net on the front which you should keep zipped up at all times to prevent any bugs getting in. However, I  would also recommend taking a spray with you, which can be handy for ankles, arms and neck.
