Beautiful and diverse Malawi and game-rich South Luangwa National Park

Malawi, often known as the warm heart of Africa, is a beautiful country with rolling hills, spectacular mountain ranges, rivers and vast savannahs. Our journey begins in Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve, which, being largely inaccessible by road, offers us a true wilderness experience. We visit the Zomba Plateau, where we have time to hike along the plateau to take in its beautiful scenery of tumbling waterfalls and streams, and spectacular views across the plains below.
Liwonde National Park, situated along the Shire River, is home to large populations of hippo, elephants and plains game. We spend our time here enjoying game drives, boat safaris and night drives in the park, as well as having one night in a village homestay. Our time in Malawi finishes on Domwe Island and at Cape Maclear, where we have time to snorkel, kayak, cruise or just relax on the shores of Lake Malawi.
We then head into Zambia for a real highlight of the trip, two days game viewing in South Luangwa National Park. Arguably one of the most majestic parks in Africa, the variety in scenery and quantity of wildlife here will astound.
This is a full itinerary taking in the incredible diversity of Malawi and the exceptional game viewing in South Luangwa National Park.
