Yes, all the tents have a mosquito proof net on the front which you should keep zipped up at all times to prevent any bugs getting in. However, I  would also recommend taking a spray with you, which can be handy for ankles, arms and neck.

There are lots of extra things to see and do during the trip and the best way to calculate amounts is to check in the detailed trip notes, where they give as close an estimate as possible to what you may need along the way. They are large dome 2 man tents. You should be able to stand up in them and the dimensions are approximately 2.4 x 2.4 x 1.8 meter. All the tents have mesh windows and doors so mosquito nets are not needed. Obviously you should keep your tent closed when not in it, to prevent bugs flying in!

Most of the campsites provide a power point where you can charge your camera batteries. The power point is normally in a communal area like the kitchen or bar. Most of the vehicles are fitted with an inverter to allow you to charge your batteries while on the move also, but obviously space is limited so you should not rely on this being available.

No, it is not necessary to take one for this trip. Any nights camping a thick foam mattress will be provided.

Most people tend to take a mix of cash and cards. The national currency is the South African Rand (ZAR),
with an approximate exchange rate of 11.44 to the UK£ and 7.33 to the US$. ATM's are available at the airport and in the larger towns credit cards will be accepted for optional activities and there is wide acceptance in the larger towns.
Dinners can cost on average of £8-15 per person.

If you hold a UK passport, you don't need a visa for Namibia. The same applies to other Commonwealth passport holders and quite a few European countries. If you are unsure, please check with the nearest embassy or contact Exodus.

Please note that all travellers to South Africa are required to have a minimum of 2 blank consecutive pages in their passport i.e. a left hand page and a right hand page to enable an entry visa to be issued.

You should definitely try ostrich Sausages with traditional 'Pap' (Maize & water), as well as snoek fish cakes and the 'sexy' bread in Napier!
Some nice places to try this might be the Brass Bell in Kalk Bay or the Sea Forth Fish Restaurant, Boulders Beach.
