Penguins on Boulders Beach, near Cape Town, South Africa

A journey from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town along South Africa's famous Garden Route taking in fantastic wildlife, beautiful beaches, stunning scenery, quaint towns, vibrant cities and one of the most spectacular coastlines in the world.

Starting in Port Elizabeth, the 'Friendly City', we visit Addo Elephant National Park, home to elephants, lions, buffalo, rhino and other animals. From here we embark on the Garden Route, starting with Tsitsikamma where we hike through the indigenous forest and along the canopy walkway.

Continuing on to the quaint village of Knysna we visit the dramatic sea-cliffs known as the Heads.

Leaving the coast behind we enter ostrich country in Oudtshoorn before travelling to Hermanus where, in season, whales can be seen frolicking just off shore. Then we enter South Africa's wine region and the Cape Peninsula with its penguins and the meeting of two oceans.

Finally we explore Africa's most exciting city, sat in the shadow of Table Mountain: Cape Town.
