Better known for the quality of its cross-country skiing trails, Ramsau is also a fantastic destination for snowshoeing.This little Austrian town is the starting point for numerous snowshoe trails which wind their way into the surrounding mountains, just waiting to be explored. Ramsau is beautifully framed by the Dachstein mountain range to the north and the Schladming Tauern to the south, forming an impressive backdrop to the week as we enjoy the trails and perhaps the odd coffee and cake stop along the way too!
What makes this trip responsible?
We use the family-owned and run Hotel Rösslhof, which contributes directly to the local community by employing local staff. The meals offered at the hotel restaurant draw on traditional Austrian cuisine and are prepared with organic products from the hotel’s own farm. All our leaders are committed to Responsible Tourism and have received training and get additional refresher training on a regular basis so they can help you reduce you impact and maximise the benefits to the local communities from your visit.
