It's amazing that Leutasch isn't better known. This high level plateau and tranquil valley is truly a winter wonderland and offers some of the prettiest and most extensive walking trails in Europe.
As well as being ideal for winter walking, Leutasch and Seefeld also offers a first class cross country ski centre, horse-drawn sleigh rides, tobogganing, curling, ice skating, snowshoeing, alpine skiing. We have a daily itinerary of typically 8-10km (3-4 hours) walks where you will discover a selection of idyllic plateau, forest, river and valley trails taking you through some of the finest Austrian scenery and through the prettiest of Tyrolean hamlets. If, at any time, you feel like doing your own thing, then there's clear signposting and we will also provide a local walking map.
The area around Leutasch and Seefeld is the perfect destination, with over 140km of cleared trails allowing you to discover a different area each day of the week. The paths will be cleared and gritted or treated with sawdust soon after snowfall.
In partnership with Headwater
This trip is run in partnership with our sister company, Headwater, who offer more flexibility so you can walk as much or as little as you like. Children may join these holidays as long as they can participate in the activities and please note if travelling on your own, a single supplement will be applied. Insurance details are required at the time of booking.
What makes this trip responsible?
During this trip we stay in a family-run hotel, which is the oldest in the village and is now a preserved building. To minimise our impact we travel in a small group of only eight passengers.
NB: Please note the 2014 itinerary starts with the December 2013 departures.
