- Tyrolean valleys and Alpine peaks
- Delicious traditional local food
- No extra charge for single rooms

From the charming village of Trins we venture into three different valleys in the heart of the Tyrol, each offering a wide range of interesting and attractive walking amid spectacular alpine scenery. Walking paths ascend directly into Gschnitz and Obernbergtal Valleys where we enjoy walking along winter paths and through forests under the impressive flanks of the rugged Stubai Mountains.
Our journey into the Schmirntal Valley, which rises east into the Zillertal Alps, offers other equally impressive panoramas and the chance to experience an exciting toboggan run.
We may also choose to explore the high rolling plateau of Maria Waldrast (1700m), a unique mountain location above Trins, which is home to a former mediaeval Servite monastery. Each walk allows us to stop for refreshments in traditional mountain huts, where we have the opportunity to savour some traditional Tyrolean cuisine.
Trins & The Three Valleys - cross-country ski trip
Trins & The Three Valleys: Don't forget that our cross-country ski trip to Trins also stays at Hotel Wienerhof (see CXT for trip details). The trip runs on some Winter Walking dates, so it is possible for two people to share a room but enjoy different activities. We also offer an Independent cross-country skiing trip throughout the winter (see LCT for details) |
What makes this trip responsible?
Our base for this trip, Hotel Adler, has been a family run hotel for over 2 generations. The food is sourced locally and the hotel has a herb garden, which produces all the herbs used in their traditional cuisine. They have also installed solar panels, which now supply the hotel’s hot water.
All our leaders are committed to Responsible Tourism and have received training and get additional refresher training on a regular basis so they can help you reduce you impact and maximise the benefits to the local communities from your visit.
