Well organised trip in beautiful area with a great group!

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
The walks take in some amazing views. The paths are all well prepared and so generally you can walk in just your boots but having the grippers for our shoes helped when it got a bit icy. Bob, our leader, was great - he knew all the best cafes and seemed to know everyone in the valley - he was incredibly organised so that the whole holiday ran very smoothly and was therefore very relaxing. Our group was good fun - some couples and some solo departures but we all got on really well and had a great laugh! We all found out that adults really can go toboganning !!
What did you think of your group leader?
Bob was excellant - very helpful and organised - he went out of his way to make the holiday run smoothly and made sure we all knew our options and travel arrangements - could not have been better.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Definitely get some grippers for your boots as they come in handy and poles are useful as well.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
The walking on this was relatively easy but you still got good views and went to some lovely places - recommended for all ages and abilities.

A really enjoyable trip, which exceeded my expectations. Beautiful walks and scenery, comfortable hotel and good food, and an excellent trip leader.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Each walk provided us with stunning scenery, but the views on the final day's walk were the best of the week.
What did you think of your group leader?
Our group leader, Bob, was fantastic! Highly organised, good company, patient and knowledgable on the local area. Thanks again!
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Book the trip! Take layers of clothes - you can be in all your kit first thing in the morning, and down to a single layer by the afternoon. Take ice grips, as suggested in the trip notes.

This was my first solo trip and it turned out to be one of my best holidays! The walks were fantastically organised and were set at a leisurely to moderate level. The views were amazing though the best was saved for the last day at the top of the summit! Our trip leader was excellent. The hotel had a homely feel to it and the evening meals were great. The group was great and we often had lots to laugh about! The sunny weather also helped to make this holiday great.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

Although there were plenty of amazing walks and scenery, the tricky but fun climb upto the summit of the mountain on the final day with breathtaking views were the best moments.

What did you think of your group leader?
The group leader, Bob, was excellent. He was very welcoming, organsied, had lots of patience, sociable and great knowledge of the local area. All this made the trip really enjoyable and run smoothly.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Take your walking poles and grippers. No need to take any extra food with you as there is plenty to eat in the evenings!
Is there anything else you would like to add?

Thanks to Bob for being a great leader and to all the members of the group for making it a fun week.

a well planned trip, incorporating everything associated with a skiing holliday, but without the skiing!

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

The walks through the forrested trails.

What did you think of your group leader?
Bob was so well organised, well informed and cheerful throughout. Nothing was too much for him to deal with. I am particularly thankful for the sympathetic way he dealt with my bouts of asthma when tackling uphill sections, most kind and understanding.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
    Walking poles and ice grippers!

Whilst the walking was great (and totally different to the trins walking in the summer) there were so many other things to do that made this a great holiday!

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Tobogganing down the tracks was amazing. Walking to top of mountain in snow. Christmas Eve torchlight procession through the village. So many highlights!
What did you think of your group leader?
Bob is a total star. His levels of organisation and patience are amazing, his local knowledge very impressive and he is really skilled at managing everything needed for every participant in a sympathetic, subtle and kind manner.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Remember yak traks! Trip notes pretty good though at covering advice
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Great fun holiday. Free day spent cross country skiing which bob gave up his day off to help us with- was great day. Also as flight late on the final day meant could go downhill skiing in village which was amazing fun too (despite still being v bruised!) Loved the variety in this holiday, and having done the summer walking in trins too found it a lovely comparison. Different but equally as good :-) and as an escape from Christmas in uk it was perfect!

This was my first group holiday and first with Exodus. There were 10 single people and 2 couples of which i was one. Loved having all the differn't people to dhat to . It was good, easy, natural conversation. The walking was a good pace with plenty of stops for gluhwein or hot choc as well as lunch. An extremly enjoyable holiday from start to finish.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

My first taste of cross country skiing/ falling over with a snow blizard, the best day for me (supposed to be having the day off taking it easy)

Christmas Eve evening around the village by candlelight with lots of gluhwein, great atmosphere.

Hard to pick anything in particular it was all so fantastic, breathtaking scenery.

What did you think of your group leader?
Bob was a wealth of knowledge ( most of which i wasn't listening to as much too busy playing in the snow)Interpreter of menus, and when Bob say's the bus will be here at 9.21, it will be there at 9.21!. He also kindly took us cross country skiing on his day off.Bob was our sheep dog and we were his sheep.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

Take something lightweight for the evenings it was very very hot in the hotel (coming from somone who feels the cold).

The yak traks proved to be the best type of foot grip available. You will need something , as some areas vey slippery.

The shop was nearly always shut, you need to look at opening times !

Little man in ski shop doesn't speak much english, if you want a toboggan it is called a rodal .

Is there anything else you would like to add?
Book it you won't regret it .

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
The point when my eye lashes froze shut, and then unfroze with some hot chocolate and good conversation.
What did you think of your group leader?
Really friendly and approachable and sorted everything out.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

It is an Austrian sauna - so technically you have to be naked, but Bob provided us with towel dressing gowns.

Check the weather and bring appropriate warm clothing
