Take on Basecamp’s ice climbing wall. If this is your first time, there is a beginners wall where you can literally learn the ropes. When you are confident enough you can move round the corner to tackle the larger ice wall. With ropes, crampons and two ice axes you haul yourself up to the top where you are rewarded with a fantastic view over the surrounding frozen lake.
