Day 1

Fly from Gatwick to Innsbruck (13.15 - 16.10), transfer to Villabassa (approx. 2 hours).

Day 2 - 7

Five guided snowshoe day walks, plus one free day. Our explorations generally take place in the high side valleys of the main Pusteria Valley, or on low ridges of the smaller hills. The main peaks of the Dolomites are famously steep-sided, and we avoid these, as well as the few avalanche prone areas lying below them. But we have an excellent variety of walks at our disposal, all with excellent scenery and views, many in the very heart of the famous Dolomites scenery. An easy day takes on a high trail from the village of Dobbiaco back to Villabassa along forester's tracks and across open hillsides, with excellent views to the south. To the north are the forested flanks of a rounded hill just a few kilometres northeast of Villabassa. From the summit at about 1900m we can continue to little chapel of San Silvestro at 1912m, looking across to the jagged summits of the Dolomites. In good weather we can continue upwards, following a rounded ridge that leads to the Austrian frontier

Transfer to Innsbruck, fly from Innsbruck to Gatwick (17.00 - 17.55). Flight times subject to confirmation.
