On the northern edge of Italy's most impressive mountain range, just north of the famous town of Cortina d'Ampezzo, lies the charming village of Villabassa. Situated in the Alta Pusteria Valley, a beautiful and authentic South Tyrolean region, this is the perfect base to access a variety of outstanding areas for snowshoe exploration. Ideally located on the village's main square, the beautiful 4 star Hotel Adler welcomes us with comfortable rooms, Michelin recommended food and a relaxing wellness centre.
What makes this trip responsible?
Our base for this trip, Hotel Adler, has been a family run hotel for over 2 generations. The food is sourced locally and the hotel has a herb garden, which produces all the herbs used in their traditional cuisine. They have also installed solar panels, which now supply the hotel’s hot water.
All our leaders are committed to Responsible Tourism and have received training and get additional refresher training on a regular basis so they can help you reduce you impact and maximise the benefits to the local communities from your visit.
