- World famous 70km classic cross-country ski race
- Beautiful Dolomites scenery

One of the most famous cross-country ski races, the Marcialonga is a real challenge. Places are hard to get on this exclusive tour amid the Dolomites’ picturesque valleys. Racing over 70km of tracks, there are now over 7000 professional and amateur skiers competing in the Fassa and Fiemme valleys. In its 41st year, this race was the founding member of the Worldloppet and was first raced in 1971 with just 1000 participants. Starting in Moena and finishing in Cavalese, the race winds its way through quiet mountain villages and quaint valleys, always surrounded by the towering peaks of the Dolomites.
Based in the lovely town of Moena, we are ideally located to train for the event during the week. Each day, tuition is given in classic cross-country skiing by experienced leaders, who take us out to explore various parts of the race course. From the quiet villages of the Val di Fiemme to the pretty towns of the famous Val di Fassa, we also get the opportunity to discover a part of the Dolomites where the unique Ladin culture prevails. And with the Catinaccio Range and Marmolada as a backdrop, we may need to remember to catch our breath as we glide on the loipe!
