Davos, in the heart of the Swiss Alps, is a haven for trying out a wide variety of winter sports. The impeccably maintained cross-country ski trails, many floodlit, criss-cross the entire valley forming a 75 km network of runs stretching right across the Landwasser valley. Davos, with its first-class facilities and magical, panoramic mountain backdrop forms the perfect location for relaxing, learning the basic techniques of cross-country skiing and independently exploring the area.
We provide a Davos card, which gives you unlimited travel on many of the regional buses, trains and mountain railway routes. A 6-day cross-country ski pass and all cross-country ski equipment is also included, as are 3 morning lessons with a highly experienced, professional ski instructor.
Wonderful winter days can also be spent without skis, with nearly 100km of well-prepared winter walking paths. Alternatively spend time downhill skiing or ice skating on Europe’s largest natural ice rink.
In partnership with Headwater
Our Cross-Country Skiing Taster trips allow people to get a taste of what cross-country skiing is like without the pressure of keeping up with a group. There is no leader for this trip but it is perfect if this is your first time in the tracks and want to gradually build confidence independently. This trip is run in partnership with our sister company, Headwater, who offer more flexibility so you can ski as much or as little as you like. Children may join these holidays as long as they can participate in the activities and please note if travelling on your own, a single supplement will be applied. Insurance details are required at the time of booking.
What makes this trip responsible?
During this trip we stay in the Hotel Meierhof, an elegant traditional hotel dating back to 1890. To minimise our impact we travel in a small group of only eight passengers. We also use a local ski school for our lessons with expert instructors who have incredible knowledge of their area.
