SLOVENIA WINTER MULTI ACTIVITY
8 days from GBP795 to GBP895 including flights

An exciting week of winter sports in Europe's 'hot' destination
The eastern extremity of the European Alps is formed by the remarkable Julian Alps, the main mountain area in Slovenia. This stunningly jagged limestone range has many similarities to the Italian Dolomites; not only is it home to some respectable downhill ski areas, but there is plenty of back-country wilderness terrain, such as the forested Pokljuka plateau. From the picture-postcard lakeside town of Bled with its cliff-top castle, we have access to an excellent variety of valleys and mountains to try out our range of exciting winter sports. During the week our charming Slovenian instructors and guides will teach us new activities and show us their favourite corners of this very special region.
| Day 1 | Fly from Gatwick to Ljubljana (20.50 - 23.55), transfer by road to Bled (30 mins). |
| Day 2 | Tobogganing and tubing (sledging on HGV inner tubes) in the Karavanke Mountains. |
| Day 3 | Head to the remote Pokljuka Plateau for overnight snowshoe trip. Full day walking, plus night in a cosy mountain hut. |
| Day 4 | Second day snowshoeing; return to Bled. |
| Day 5 | Optional half-day guided snowshoe to igloo with fondue dinner and overnight stay. |
| Day 6 | Half day winter walk and introduction to ice-climbing course, usually near Mojstrana. |
| Day 7 | Introduction to cross-country skiing back at the Pokljuka Plateau. |
| Day 8 | Free morning in Bled, before returning to Ljubljana. Fly from Ljubljana to Gatwick (18.30 - 19.50). |
