Cross-country Skiing: Espedalen

Day 1
Start Espedalen.

Day 2 - 7
We prefer not to specify where we will ski each day, as this can change according to the weather conditions and ability of the group. The leader will choose the most appropriate routes each day, however as an example of the sort of skiing you can expect please see below.

Lake Espedalen provides a convenient, close and perhaps more importantly flat area to pick up the basics. In total the area has approximately 200km of prepared tracks, some laid by snowscooter, others by a more traditional track cutting machine. At low level the tracks here wind through forests and over frozen lakes, whilst there are great opportunities for tours on the open hills, with the chance to take in some low summits.
