Our Winter Grading system: Many of our holidays are aimed at beginners and are designed for people of just average fitness. All necessary instruction and equipment is included. Snowshoeing, dogsledding and snowmobiling are easy to pick up and require no previous experience. Cross-country skiing will involve more intensive instruction, and our groups are carefully graded to ensure participants have similar levels of experience.

It is important to choose a holiday appropriate to your fitness and experience levels. Of course some are tougher than others and the activity profile section gives more detail about what to expect. All of our cross-country skiing holidays use the grading systems below.

Cross-country ski grades
1 Beginners
2 Intermediates (suitable for confident beginners)
2+ Intermediates (not suitable for beginners)
3 Advanced
4 Strenuous

NB: The cross-country grades are listed against the departure dates on the holiday dates and prices pages so you can check which is the best week to travel with the correct grade for your ability. 

Yes, we released a Winter Newsletter in November 2009, highlighting many aspects of our Winter Activies programme.

As soon as we have reached the minimum numbers to guarantee the departure we will let our clients know or if we intend to cancel the departure we will endeavour to advise with appropriate notice.

If you are on the group flights or have pre-arranged this, an Exodus representative will meet you on arrival and transfer you to your Start Point/Hotel.

It is a condition of joining any of our holidays that you must be insured against medical and personal accident risks (to include repatriation costs, air ambulance and helicopter rescue services). We also strongly recommend that you take out cancellation insurance.

Our insurance policy is designed specifically to cover the potential risks on our holidays, and you should be aware that some policies do not include, or restrict, cover for this type of travel. If you do not take our policy, you must ensure that the policy you do take provides an equivalent level of protection and covers you for the activities involved.

If you've booked on two or more trips with Exodus, you will receive a 5% discount on your next Exodus booking. Dedicated travellers who've been on nine or more trips with Exodus will receive a 10% discount on all subsequent bookings.
