CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING IN THE EASTERN PYRENEES

The dedicated ski areas of Beille (1800m) and Chioula (1400m) are two different high altitude plateaux, close to the charming spa town of Ax-les-Thermes. They offer stunning 360 degree views of high peaks with 120 km of varied and beautifully groomed trails. The clearly marked trails vary in length and difficulty, enabling us to provide this uniquely flexible holiday. You can ski independently, with others at your grade, or with our experienced Tour Leaders, James and Cathy Thompson, who will offer guided ski tours at different levels to help get the group orientated. This system allows you to fulfill your personal skiing aspirations whilst enjoying the camaraderie of a group. The holiday is suitable for beginners and experienced classic cross-country skiers as well as those wanting to progress with or try out the skating technique. James is a qualified cross-country ski instructor and will be on hand to offer formal and informal lessons throughout the week.
