Trip Profile

Flights via Johannesburg with South African Airlines. Air Botswana to Maun.
Transport 4WD vehicle.

Accommodation

11 nights full-service camping. (camp beds provided). The local staff will erect all tents and prepare all meals where applicable. 6 nights camping in public sites with good facilites, all with pools, restaurants and good ablution facilities. The other 5 night will be wild camping - this is a great opportunity to really experience the African wilderness! In the Okavango delta we take our equipment by mokoro and camp on the river banks in the shade of indigineous trees - a wonderful experience.

We will have pool access in Maun, Kasane and Livingstone.

All meals included except dinners in Maun and Livingstone.

Reality Check

Minimal time difference; visits to some malarial areas so don't forget your tablets!; few long drives; 5 nights wild camping which really adds to the wilderness bush experience.

The headwaters of the Okavango delta start all the way away in Angola's western highlands. The water takes about 9 months to reach the Okavango delta, a journey of over 1000 miles.
