Reality Check
Botswana can get hot and dusty and there are some fairly long driving days whilst game viewing.
Please note that Botswana is a malaria area. Children must share a tent with an adult and are not to be left alone at night in the game reserves and wilderness areas. For most of the tour we will be staying in well-equipped campsites.
However, for 5 nights (in Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve & Savuti Marsh area) we will be wild camping at an allocated site. The sites are chosen by the wildlife department and are normally in well shaded areas that are not accessible to the general public.
Whilst wild camping there will be a basic toilet and shower tents provided. The wild camping will certainly add to the overall bush experience and should be an exciting part of the trip for the whole family! In Moremi and Savuti game reserve we may also use the public campsites depending on our allocations.
Normal group size and age
Normally 6 to.12, plus leader and camp assistant Minimum age 9.
