Game tracking, hiking in the Drakensberg, and a safari in Kruger N.P.

The mountains of South Africa and Swaziland are best explored on foot.
This breathtaking walking safari takes us through the rocky escarpments of the Drakensberg, the dramatic canyons and mining towns of Mpumalanga and the famous Kruger National Park. In a private reserve we go on a bush walk and learn from researchers how to track wildlife by identifying their spoors and prints.
We'll then use this knowledge on game drives through Kruger in search of the big five. Mkhuze is one of the best reserves in Africa to spot the endangered black rhino. Here we will sit quietly at a waterhole as animals including the playful baboons and nervous zebra come to drink right in front of us.
The final two days trekking in the Drakensberg (Dragon Mountains) are perhaps the most spectacular, walking along beautiful stream paths and, above all, enjoying the magnificent views.
