  Fantastic wildlife and scenery, excellent guides, great walks but just a bit too much driving and not enough walking. Comfortable camping, great campfires, food was fine - overall a really good holiday.

  What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

  Walking to within 10 feet of a cheetah and her cubs, conquering the Drakensburg ladders, seeing a bloodied lion snoozing next to the buffalo she had just killed. Very atmospheric dawn and sunset game drives.

  What did you think of your group leader?

  Excellent - very knowledgeable, hard working, great sense of humour.

  Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

  Guard against tick bites when out walking in game reserves.  Mosquitoes were not a problem in July/August but a few people got tick bites and were slightly unwell after return from holiday. Wear long trousers and tuck them into socks. Take lots of layers for dawn and sunset game drives in July/August as it can be very cold.
