Accommodation
The Centres
We use two different hotels in the lovely mountain village of Arenas de Cabrales.
Hotel Torrecerredo
Our first choice is the Torrecerredo, a family-run hotel, situated in quiet meadows a few hundred metres from the edge of the village. It has a pleasant garden terrace, and all rooms have en suite facilities.
Villa de Cabrales
Where necessary, we also use the Villa de Cabrales, located in the village of Arenas (just 4 minutes walk from the Torrecerredo). This comfortable 2 star hotel is built of local stone, has 26 rooms, all en suite, and has been tastefully refurbished.
Swimming
Optional day at the beach and river swimming on canoe day.
Food
Breakfast included throughout.
Reality Check
This is an active trip with the option for plenty of time outdoors.
There are short transfers to reach the start point of some activities. Although pre-booking the amount of days before departure is necessary, there is a certain amount of flexibility locally deciding the activities to partake in.
There is also little rigidity to the order of the itinerary to ensure that you are doing the best activities in the best possible conditions. Therefore, please take the itinerary as a guide rather than set in stone.
As a final reminder, this is an Activity Centre holiday and the trip has a minimum number of 2 participants. Although, almost all departures consist of more than one family, it is possible that you may be the only family joining the tour.
The trip has no leader or guide, but an Exodus local representative is on hand to ensure your activities are organised and to provide advice.
We strongly recommend that you read the information on pages in the Family Adventures brochure before booking this holiday. Alternatively go to our Are You A Family page here on our website.
Normal group size and age
Up to 25. There is a tour leader co-ordinating the activities locally. Minimum age 3.
