The frantic pace of life in the cities is complemented by markets in Xi'an and cycling around the country side in Yangshuo.
Children can try their hand at everything from Kung Fu to Chinese cooking, Tai Chi to calligraphy, while learning about Chinese culture.

Depart London.

Arrive Beijing.

3 - 4
Two full days sightseeing in and around Beijing, including Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Forbidden City where it's possible to try Tai Chi and calligraphy.
Day 5
Transfer to the Great Wall and walk along the top.
Day 6
Morning walk on the Wall. Transfer to Beijing, evening sleeper train to Luoyang.
Day 7
Drive to Shaolin Temple and watch Kung Fu demonstration then join in a Kung Fu lesson at a local school (optional).
Day 8
Visit Long Men Cave; afternoon train to Xi'an.
Day 9
Morning walking tour of the Muslim area and mosque, afternoon free or optional cycle ride on Xi'an city walls.
Day 10
Visit the famed Terracotta Warriors, afternoon fly to Chengdu.
Day 11
Visit Giant Panda Research Centre. Fly to Guilin and drive to Yangshuo.
Day 12
Cycle ride to Moon Hill, afternoon buy produce from the local market for our traditional cooking class.
Day 13
Free day in Yangshuo.
Day 14
Transfer to Guilin, fly to Shenzen and then bus to Hong Kong. Afternoon orientation tour of Hong Kong including Victoria Peak and Stanley Market.
Day 15
Free day in Hong Kong.

Fly to London.
