- Houseboat on the backwaters
- Elephant training centre
- Indian Ocean beaches
- Hindu temples

We begin this adventure exploring the narrow streets of Cochin. The city was once an old fishing port and nowadays boats can still be seen sailing past huge Chinese fishing nets. From India's most elaborately decorated temple complex at Madurai we then visit Periyar National Park, home to an abundance of colourful birdlife and an array of wildlife. We explore this park on foot and eat with a local family to learn about rural life in the area.
For many the highlight is the overnight trip on board a traditional houseboat along the backwaters of Kerala, followed by the chance to relax on a beautiful tropical beach.
Please note: This trip has had a name change for 2013 season, the trip was formerly called: Kerala Adventure
What makes this trip responsible?
For every person travelling on this trip, GBP3 is donated to a schools project which provides additional income to government-run schools who benefit greatly from this extra funding. The donation, in part, goes towards funding pupils at a school in Betalghat - providing uniforms for children who currently cannot attend in cold weather through lack of adequate clothing, as well as school props such as maps, blackboards, water filters and other stationery.
