Flights direct with Jet Airways. Transport mini/midi bus, 1 internal flight, on foot and by elephant!.

Accommodation

5 nights hotels, 2 nights safari lodges and 2 nights teahouses. In Kathmandu we stay in a comfortable, centrally-located hotel with en suite facilities. All lodges are en suite and comfortable. The 2 nights in teahouses are more basic where facilities are not en suite but both are cosy and in the heart of a mountain village.

Food

Full board in Chitwan, breakfast only elsewhere.

Reality Check

This is an active trip suitable for families who enjoy walking and being active. Although the walking is not strenuous you must be confident that both you and your children are able to walk for 3 - 4 hours in a day and should also have some experience of hill walking. However sherpas will always help kids who are tired towards the end of the day. Please note on trek the maximum altitude will be 1,951m so altitude should not be a problem.

Our Family Group holidays usually cater for children from 5 years old. However, experience tells us that children tend to prefer mixing with their own age groups, especially teenagers. That’s why we’ve designated certain departures on our group trips as particularly recommended for teenagers. Whilst we don't restrict younger kids from joining these holidays, the 'recommended for teenagers' departures means there are likely to be other teenagers to share the experience with.
