Day 1

Depart London.

Day 2

Arrive Colombo; transfer to Sigiriya.

Day 3

In the morning climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress; afternoon game safari in Minneriya or Kaudulla N.P.

Day 4

Early morning cycle ride through country villages; transfer to Trincomalee, free afternoon.

Day 5

Half day snorkelling (optional); free afternoon.

Day 6

Full day exploring the temples and sites around Trincomalee.

Day 7

To the Knuckles Range via a spice garden visit at Matale; afternoon trek into Knuckles conservation area.

Day 8

Short drive to Kandy to visit the Temple of the Tooth; on to Kitulgala visiting a tea factory en route.

Day 9

Morning jungle walk or optional river rafting; leave for a coastal hotel.

Day 10

Fly to London.
