The hotel in Sigiriya, where we spend 3 nights, is surrounded by serene jungle, in the shadow of the magnificent rock fortress.
After a busy day you can choose between a dip in the pool or a little pampering in the sauna!

Reality Check
Although this is not a particularly demanding trip, one or two of the drives are long (up to five to six hours) and are on twisty mountain roads that can be affected by the rains, which occasionally can cause short delays. The longer drives are broken up with many chances to stop for a view or a refreshing drink.
Temperatures can be hot on the plains and chilly in the hills, but because we use an air-conditioned bus, this is not normally a problem.

Our Family Group holidays usually cater for children from 5 years old. However, experience tells us that children tend to prefer mixing with their own age groups, especially teenagers. That’s why we’ve designated certain departures on our group trips as particularly recommended for teenagers. Whilst we don't restrict younger kids from joining these holidays, the 'recommended for teenagers' departures means there are likely to be other teenagers to share the experience with.
Wildlife: Trips may be wholly wildlife focused, or contain an element of wildlife viewing within a less specific itinerary.
All Exodus trips are active but some may have different activities scheduled every day. Activities we offer include kayaking in Slovakia, trekking in the Drakensberg, cycling in the Tuscan countryside or canoeing along the Zambezi River.
