From busy Bangkok with its magnificent temples and lively markets, we head west for some beautiful countryside and the slower pace of rural Thailand. We visit the site of the Bridge on the River Kwai, the spectacular Erawan Waterfall and the ancient Thai capital of Ayutthaya. Then we head north exploring the Chiang Mai region on foot, elephant back and even by bamboo raft. We are guests at a Karen hilltribe village where for two days we are immersed in village life and get to know our host families whilst exploring the surrounding area. Finally we enjoy a well-earned rest on the tropical beach at Hua Hin.
