This holiday is designed so that you can see the best parts of Vietnam using a mixture of private buses, boats and flights. There is a lot to see in the time you are there, but it is paced so that it doesn't feel too rushed. Travel time is kept to a minimum although there are a few longer drives but there is plenty of time for sightseeing and the trip has numerous stops where we spend 2 or more nights. Whilst choosing this trip please note that some of the accommodation will be basic but is clean and tidy.
The swimming pools may not be up to western standards. Risk of Malaria and Dengue fever is present in parts of Vietnam.
Locals and other Asian tourists may want to take photos of themselves with your children particularly if they are young, blond and have blue eyes, you should be prepared for them to do this without asking permission first. You should also be prepared for lots of traffic in the bigger cities like Hanoi and Saigon, where you will have to relearn crossing the street, as things like zebra crossings are not used as they are in the west.
Normal group size and age
Normally 5 to 20, plus leader and appropriate local guides. Minimum age 5.

Going on a Family Group trip is a fantastic way to meet new friends and create lasting friendships – for parents and children alike! These holidays combine exploration with sociability and fun, as other families will join you. Minimum ages vary across the trip range, but is usually from 5 years old.
Our Family Group holidays usually cater for children from 5 years old. However, experience tells us that children tend to prefer mixing with their own age groups, especially teenagers. That’s why we’ve designated certain departures on our group trips as particularly recommended for teenagers. Whilst we don't restrict younger kids from joining these holidays, the 'recommended for teenagers' departures means there are likely to be other teenagers to share the experience with.
All Exodus trips are active but some may have different activities scheduled every day. Activities we offer include kayaking in Slovakia, trekking in the Drakensberg, cycling in the Tuscan countryside or canoeing along the Zambezi River.
