From the spectacular limestone seascape of Halong Bay to the frenetic streets of Saigon, Vietnam is a country full of interest and surprises. The cities are an assault on all the senses: noisy, colourful, aromatic and totally absorbing.

We tour Hanoi by cyclo and see a water puppet show. We have quieter time also, snorkelling at Nha Trang, exploring the fascinating Mekong Delta by boat and cycling past vibrant green paddy fields near Hoi An.

We also have the chance to enjoy the superb Vietnamese cuisine and practise our chopstick skills (try the fried scorpion if you dare!).

Trip Extension: Angkor

Why not extend your trip and visit the magnificent world heritage site at Angkor.
Angkor WatDay 1 Fly to Siem Reap.
Day 2 / 3 Two full days to explore the numerous temples of Angkor.
Day 4 / End Siem Reap.

Responsible TravelWhat makes this trip responsible?

Tourism can be a real help to local communities, providing income, positive cultural exchanges and a financial incentive to protect their natural environment. Ours is a 'total approach' to responsible tourism, covering everything from the way we plan and operate our trips to the practices of Exodus as a company.
On the drive from Hanoi to Halong bay we stop at the Hong Ngoc Humanity Centre an NGO where disabled children and adults are taught simple skills such as embroidery and woodcarving. This is an incredible success story where people who were once considered burdens are able to support and sustain both their families and themselves. There will be the opportunity to eat for a good cause at KOTO restaurants in Hanoi or Saigon, which trains under-privileged young Vietnamese and provide street children with vocational training and general education to allow them to find a job in the tourism industry.
