Morocco has so much to offer for families. Marrakech with its colourful souks, palaces and mosques comes alive at night with snake charmers, travelling musicians, acrobats and storytellers. The magnificent Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou has been the location for many Hollywood films, including Gladiator. Nestled in the Atlas Mountains near the ruined fortress of Telouet, is the village of
Tijzha. Exodus has a special relationship with this village that goes back many years, and, term time permitting, we will visit the
local school. A Saharan camel safari and sleeping in a Bedouin-style camp (or under the stars ? your choice!) are highlights for the whole family.

Responsible Travel

Whilst staying at the gite in the mountains we will have the opportunity to visit the local school, which has been adopted by Exodus as one of our Responsible Tourism projects. We have already supplied a water pipeline system to the village and a toilet block for the school, we have built, painted and helped equip new classrooms, as well as funded the building of a perimeter wall. We are keen to continue much much-needed improvements for the people of the village. You can help by donating money via our website link below or by bringing along school items and clothing. Please ensure that anything you bring is passed to the teachers to distribute, and not directly to the children. Your local tour leader will help you with this.

Itinerary

Day 1	Depart London; arrive Ouarzazate late evening.
Day 2	Visit Atlas Film Studios (if no production is under way), then drive to Tazzarine. Visit the local palmerie. Overnight in permanent tented camp.
Day 3	Morning camel trek; continue by vehicle to N'Kob. Afternoon free to laze by the pool. Camp in the grounds of a converted kasbah.
Day 4	Travel from N'Kob to Ouarzazate, free afternoon.
Day 5	Morning visit to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah and then on to High Atlas Mountains and the village of Tijhza; afternoon walk.
Day 6	Morning walk through the villages of the Tijhza Valley and visit the school. Scenic drive over mountain passes to Marrakech.
Day 7	Morning walking tour of Marrakech; afternoon and evening free.
Day 8	Fly to London.
