Reality Check
This tour is operated in partnership with our sister company The Adventure Company (TAC), as such the group may be a mixture of Exodus and TAC clients. This trip is booked through Exodus and you will receive the same award winning customer service that you are used to. TAC operate with the same core principles used by Exodus and champion the benefits of small group travel.
This trip provides a wonderful opportunity to see everything Morocco has to offer but at a steady pace with time to relax and enjoy the many highlights of this wonderful country. In the mountains we experience the peaceful tranquillity and age old customs of rural mountain life compared with the vibrant and active Marrakech.
The itinerary on this trip has been specifically designed with the needs of families with young children in mind. Children aged two or over can go on an infant adventure. There is no upper age limit so older siblings can come too.
Bear in mind that this is not a luxury trip, accommodation standards in Morocco are generally below those of Europe - although we stay in small, friendly hotels, which are quite spartan, though clean and comfortable. Cots are available in all hotels free of charge on this trip; if you require a cot in your room please advise us at the time of booking, otherwise we will assume that your child is happy in a bed on their own or sharing the bed with you. No real physical activity is involved so anyone can take part.
There are optional activities and walks but activities will ultimately be determined by the age and ability of the group. Mule support is provided for children in the mountains.
Journey time is kept to a minimum over the week and the longest drive is roughly 4 hours as we travel from the mountains to the coast. The vehicles we use on the trip have seat belts or lap belts fitted for child seats but you'll need to let us know if you will be bringing a car seat for your child. Morocco generally enjoys a good year round climate (sun-soaked in the summer and reasonably warm in the winter), although it can be cold in the mountains, especially in Winter months. Minimum age: 2 years old.
Normal group size and age
Normally 3 to 18, plus leader. Minimum age 2.
