Flights direct with Royal Jordanian. Transport private minibus, 4WD, on foot and by camel!

Accommodation

6 nights hotels, 1 night Bedouin camp, 1 night guesthouse, 1 night tented bungalow/wood cabin.

Hotels are 3-star with en suite facilities; the guesthouse has shared bathrooms. The camp is basic and offers the choice of a communal Bedouin-style tent or sleeping under the stars. The wood cabin (Nov-Mar) is en suite with a stove, while tented bungalows share ablutions (Apr-Oct).

Swimming

Opportunities in pools at some of the hotels (seasonal) and in the Dead Sea.

Food

All breakfasts, 1 lunch and 4 dinners included.

Reality Check

This tour is operated in partnership with our sister company The Adventure Company (TAC), as such the group may be a mixture of Exodus and TAC clients. This trip is booked through Exodus and you will receive the same award winning customer service that you are used to. TAC operate with the same core principles used by Exodus and champion the benefits of small group travel.

This tour is aimed at teenagers and has a full itinerary to keep all entertained. Relatively short journey times make Jordan an ideal destination for a family adventure. In Wadi Rum, desert tracks are rough and although we provide all necessary camping equipment (excluding sleeping bags) conditions are, as one would expect basic, with limited facilities.

Please note: swimming pools at some of the hotels in Jordan may close during the winter season, especially if they are outdoor pools. If they are open, outdoor pools in Jordan don't usually have heating and so swimming may be cold. Having said that, in summer months daytime temperatures can be very hot, so you will need to drink plenty of water, and have adequate sunscreen protection. Minimum age: 12 years old.

Ramadan Please note that the Muslim month of Ramadan will take place from roughly 9th July to 7th August 2013 and from 28th June to 27th July 2014 (dates can shift slightly). This is a time when followers of Islam do not eat or drink between sunrise and sunset. This can sometimes affect the opening hours of certain tourist sites. However we will ensure that the itinerary is affected as little as possible if you travel during this period. Food and drink is available to tourists during the day.
